Biography

Overview

Lydia Hassall is the Deputy General Counsel in the Disputes and Investigations team for White & Case LLP. She advises the Firm's lawyers and professionals on claims and investigations, information requests, insurance matters, and professional and regulatory issues.

Immediately prior to joining White & Case, Lydia spent 11 years as the Head of Professional Indemnity within the General Counsel team at an international firm in London dealing with claims and complaints; SRA reporting and investigations; and managing the firm's insurance arrangements. Before moving to an in-house role, she had over 15 years' experience as a litigator and over 10 years' experience of handling a wide variety of professional indemnity claims against city firms in the UK.

Lydia also sat for over 10 years as a Deputy District Judge in the England & Wales County Court, dealing with a wide range of civil claims and applications.
