Maha is an associate in our Project Development and Finance Group based in Abu Dhabi.

Maha’s experience includes advising clients in relation to corporate M&A, fund and private equity transactions. Maha is a UAE national and is fluent in both Arabic and English.

Before joining White & Case, Maha worked for a leading US law firm.

Experience

Representation of Saudi Aramco in connection with the restructuring of the US$20 billion Sadara Chemicals Company, a joint venture with The Dow Chemical Company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

A GCC government in the establishment of its enforcement guidelines and procedures in connection to the governance of the energy, water and sewerage sectors.

Representation of Saudi Aramco in connection with intellectual property licenses for a refining and petrochemical complex valued at more than US$10 billion.

Representation of Emirates Water & Electricity Company (EWEC) in connection the PV2 IPP involving the development of a 2GW solar project, the largest single-site solar project in the world, together with a grid station and associated facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Representation of a leading regional sovereign wealth fund in numerous multibillion-dollar fund, investment, and co-investment transactions.*

Representation of McDonald's in the US$2.08 billion formation of a joint venture company with CITIC Limited and The Carlyle Group that will act as master franchisee responsible for McDonald's business in mainland China and Hong Kong.*
