Mariel is an associate in the Litigation group in the firm's New York office. Mariel’s practice focuses on complex, cross-border disputes, representing individual clients and large corporations in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts.

Mariel also maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on criminal appeals and sentencing cases.

At the University of Michigan Law School, Mariel served as a Book Review Editor for the Michigan Law Review and a Senior Judge for the Legal Practice Program.
