Biography

Overview

Mark advises companies on data, privacy, and cybersecurity issues, including compliance, investigations, and transactions. He aids companies in their efforts to comply with a variety of data privacy and cybersecurity laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Mark also has represented companies in investigations brought by American and European regulators addressing data practices and competition issues related to the collection and use of data. He also has advised companies on sales, acquisitions, and other transactions, including data privacy issues related to licensing and distressed sales.

Prior to law school, Mark served on the communications staff of a United States Senator, founded a technology company, and served as a business and financial advisor to an AmLaw 100 firm.

Mark is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
