Biography
Maxime Villeneuve is an associate in the International Arbitration Group in Paris. His practice covers international commercial and investor-state arbitration. Prior to joining White & Case, Maxime acquired experience in commercial and investment arbitration in several leading law firms in Paris.
Maxime currently serves as a board member of the Paris Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (PVYAP) group. He is also actively involved in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Vis East Moot.
He is admitted to practice law in Paris and in the State of New York.
Experience
Maxime's recent experience includes representing:
- An African employer against a group of contractors in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris concerning the construction of a hydroelectric project in a West African country, involving claims exceeding EUR 200 million.
- A leading French industrial company in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris concerning a railway renovation project, involving claims exceeding EUR 500 million.
- A French subcontractor against an Italian contractor in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris concerning the construction of the extension of an oil refinery in France.
