Melody Chan is a partner in the Firm's Dispute Resolution practice. Her practice focuses on cross-border arbitration and multijurisdictional litigation. She advises on disputes in the financial services, oil and gas, and power and technology sectors, as well as on matters in connection with joint ventures and insolvency proceedings. She also handles contentious and non-contentious regulatory and employment matters.

Advising one of PRC largest electronic goods retailers in a potential HKIAC arbitration arising out of a dispute on a put and call option agreement relating to an acquisition in Italy.

Representation of a major paper product supplier listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on corporate issues and issues involving competition law in Hong Kong, sales and distribution, etc.

Advising, together with local counsel, a Chinese corporate in relation to an investigation carried out by the relevant Chinese authority under the Anti-Monopoly law in China.

Representation of a regional conglomerate in relation to disputes arising out of the design, development, construction and operation of a US$1 billion integrated water desalination and power production plant in the Middle East.

Representation of a social media giant seeking injunctive relief and damages for unlawful interference and harassment arising from unauthorized, illegitimate and wrongful use of its website and system by Hong Kong-based online game company.

Advising a provider of oil logistic and marine services in the Asia Pacific region in relation to winding up petition brought against it in Bermuda and advising the company in its proposed debt restructuring by way of a scheme of arrangement.

Acting for a Nigerian bank in proceedings before the Hong Kong courts to seek recovery of fraudulent funds transfer to a Hong Kong bank account.

Advising a US based global online travel agency on different aspects of employment law, including issues relating to discrimination, outsourcing policy, maternity leave and internship.
