Michael Mahaffey

Michael is a litigation associate who represents a diverse range of clients in federal trial and appellate courts, including the US Supreme Court. Michael’s litigation clients include foreign sovereigns, their state-owned entities, and multinational companies and financial institutions. He advises clients on complex litigations brought under a variety of laws, including the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act (FSIA), the US Anti-Terrorism Act, and US antitrust laws. Michael has an active pro bono practice, representing clients in wide-ranging matters, including criminal appeals, immigration proceedings, and landlord-tenant disputes.

Prior to law school, Michael served as communications director for US Rep. Tom Rooney and as deputy communications director for the US Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.
