Biography
Michał Piekarski is a local partner in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance (EIPAF) practice based in the Warsaw office focusing on complex energy projects, transactions and regulatory matters across Poland, the Baltics and CEE.
He has more than 17 years of experience advising clients in the energy sector including offshore and onshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar PV, gas-fired generation, waste-to-energy, hydrogen and nuclear projects.
His practice combines transactional and project advisory work, with particular focus on M&A, joint ventures, project development, construction and operations, energy trading and energy transition-related regulatory frameworks.
Prior to joining White & Case, Michał gained experience at leading international law firms and in senior in-house roles within the Polish and international energy sector.

ORLEN: representation of ORLEN S.A. on the strategic joint venture between ORLEN and Northland Power relating to the development of the 1200 MW Baltic Power offshore wind project in the Polish Baltic Sea.*
