Biography

Moayad Al Zahrani is as an associate in our Project Development & Finance team in the Riyadh office. His practice primarily focuses on the financing aspects of transactions. Moayad also has project development experience. He is a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) and a Saudi national. Moayad has advised sponsors, lenders and government authorities on major projects across a broad range of sectors, including utilities, social infrastructure and transport.

Experience

Representation of Saudi Aramco on a US$11 billion lease and leaseback deal, involving its Jafurah gas processing facilities, with a consortium of international investors led by funds managed by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), part of BlackRock.

Representation of an international renewable energy project developer on a US$40 million uncommitted non-funded facility.*

Representation of a global energy developer in acquiring a US$56.8 uncommitted non-funded facility.*

Representation of a KSA based utility provider on a US$100 million uncommitted non-funded facility.*

Representation of the procuring entity on all legal aspects and project documents in relation to a new airport project located south-west of Saudi Arabia.*

Representation of a commercial investment company on the development and financing of a residential complex located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.*

Representation of the procuring entity regarding a public-private partnership for the development and operation of specified dry and wet port terminals within Saudi Arabia.*
