Nicolas Bechtold is a local partner in White & Case's Dispute Resolution group.
Nicolas provides expert advice to national and international clients on complex disputes – both in formal court proceedings and arbitrations – with a particular focus on defending leading technology and digital platform companies in high-profile and precedent-setting litigation in Germany and across Europe. He regularly advises clients in proceedings under Germany's new collective redress regime (VDuG) and the Act on Injunctive Relief (UKlaG), as well as in data protection litigation. Nicolas also advises on regulatory compliance under evolving EU frameworks, including the Digital Services Act (DSA), helping clients navigate new obligations and defend against regulatory scrutiny in the digital space.
Beyond the technology sector, Nicolas advises clients on shareholder disputes, post-M&A litigation as well as disputes in the banking and financial sectors.
