Biography
Nicole Mao is a Senior Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice, based in Singapore. She has over a decade of experience advising clients on a wide range of M&A, private equity, corporate finance and commercial matters, including public and private M&A, equity offers, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, within Asia-Pacific.
Nicole possesses regional expertise, having completed a 15 month secondment with the M&A practice group in the Shanghai office, where she advised on significant Greater China transactions.
Beyond her transactional expertise, Nicole actively contributes to the firm’s leadership and culture through mentoring junior colleagues and managing internal initiatives within the Singapore office.
Experience
Keppel Capital, a leading owner and operator of data centres across Asia-Pacific and Europe, on its joint venture with Digital Decarbonization Solutions Platform, a digital infrastructure and decarbonized energy delivery company to acquire certain land in Taiwan to develop and operate an 80 MW Tier III-equivalent greenfield data centre campus in North Taiwan. This deal marks Keppel's first data centre project in Taiwan.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on its 49 percent indirect acquisition of Taean Wind Power Co., Ltd., in order to partner with Vena Energy to develop a large-scale 500MW offshore wind farm in South Korea.
Saudi Aramco on its joint venture with China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) to build a refinery and petrochemical project in Gulei in China's southeastern Fujian Province.
