Biography
Nikita Ash is an associate in the Firm's Commercial Litigation practice and is based in the New York Office. A true generalist, Nikita has represented large institutional clients in contract disputes, insurance litigation, and securities litigation, including class actions. Nikita has also represented a diverse array of constituencies in chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including as counsel to debtors, official committees, and post-confirmation litigation entities prosecuting estate claims, most notably the Celsius Litigation Administrator. As a litigator, she has considerable experience supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of a case, including motions to dismiss, fast-paced discovery, motions for summary judgment, class certification, hearings/trial, and, in the bankruptcy context, post-confirmation litigation for the benefit of the estate and creditors. Nikita is also an active member in the Firm's pro bono practice, focusing on civil rights impact litigation ranging from litigating class actions to end long-term solitary confinement to drafting U.S. Supreme Court amici in support of LGBTQ+ rights.
Nikita graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she focused her studies on civil and complex litigation, as well as on civil rights advocacy. During law school, she served as a Student Fellow for the Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
