Biography

Oliver Waddingham is an associate in our global M&A and Corporate Practice, based in London. He has extensive experience advising corporates and government entities on complex transactions in the energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors, including acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures, as well as providing ongoing corporate law support.

While at a previous firm, Oliver completed a 12-month part-time secondment with the legal team at ConocoPhillips Australia, providing general and transaction-specific legal support, including in relation to the Australia Pacific LNG project.

Experience

Representation of Galp Energia SGPS SA on the exchange of participating interests in three petroleum exploration licences in Namibia's Orange Basin with TotalEnergies SE.

Representation of a large Australian gas producer on the disposal of a gas transportation pipeline in Queensland, Australia through a competitive sale process. *

Representation of Anglo American on the sale of its Australian steelmaking coal business and interest in Jellinbah Group. *

Representation of a Government-owned corporation in Queensland on the acquisition of a 50% interest in a wind farm development and various other renewable energy projects. *
