Biography
Paddy Mohen is a partner based in the London office of White & Case LLP, and focuses on front-end construction and project development matters.
He has extensive experience advising sponsors, lenders and contractors in relation to major international projects across a range of sectors. He has notable experience advising on EPC contracts, including the FIDIC Silver book, as well as a range of other construction and project contracts, with his experience including negotiating directly with a range of different contractors and stakeholders. He is well versed in the requirements of various types of lenders (including commercial lenders, ECAs, DFIs and alternative investment funds), having advised on a broad range of projects to have achieved financial close prior to or during the construction phase.
Paddy has particular experience in the energy sector, having been involved in advising in relation to either the construction, financing or acquisition of a significant number of power projects around the world, and also frequently acts on projects in the mining and metals sector. He has significant experience advising on the construction of projects crucial to the energy transition, including renewable energy, energy storage, carbon capture, battery gigafactories, energy efficient data centres, green metal projects and mining projects for commodities required for a low carbon economy.
