Biography

Pavel Hrdý is an associate in our EMEA M&A/Private Equity practice, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Pavel has experience advising on a wide range of transactions and corporate mandates across the Czech Republic and the broader region, including both domestic and cross-border deals. He has also gained vast experience in the technology sector and with IP and IT-related matters, which he draws on when advising clients on M&A and corporate transactions in these areas.

Before joining the firm, Pavel gained experience as an associate at an international law firm, as well as in other junior legal roles at both international and local law firms. These positions enabled him to develop solid experience in both international and local matters and to work with a variety of corporate and financial investor clients.

Experience

Pavel's experience includes advising:

  • Lexum, the largest private eyecare provider in the Czech Republic, a member of Optegra group, on the acquisition of multiple medical facilities and business operations of various providers of ophthalmology services and eye surgeries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, including its entry into the Slovak market.*
  • BBA Capital Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Quinta-Analytica, a leading Czech pharmaceutical analysis and clinical research company, from Genesis Private Equity Fund III.*
  • on the landmark €154 million (CZK 3.8 billion) acquisition of Czech Airlines (ČSA) and Smartwings by low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines. This significant transaction covered the entire share capital of the Smartwings Group together with its associated liabilities. *
  • Wienerberger, a leading provider of sustainable building and infrastructure solutions, on its acquisition of Betonárna Lesonice, a Czech manufacturer of concrete pavers. This strategic acquisition strengthened Wienerberger's position in the construction and infrastructure sectors and responded to growing demand in the Czech market for concrete paving and advanced sound insulation solutions. *
  • KIN MEDIA HOLDINGS on its acquisition of Slovak-based K.B. Systems and its subsidiaries. *
