Ricardo Pous Fritz
Ricardo has focused his practice in advising and structuring transactions in the fields of corporate law, loans, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and antitrust matters.
He has also advised foreign and Mexican companies, as well as banks, in the structuring and negotiating of credit operations.
Before joining White & Case in 2015, Ricardo worked for two years in a law firm specialized in corporate law and civil, commercial and administrative litigation.
Ricardo has also participated in pro bono matters related to anti-corruption, civic education and intellectual property matters before the Mexican Institute of Intellectual Property.
Advised Alsis, an investment fund based in Miami, USA, in the granting of a mezzanine financing to a Mexican housing developer, for the acquisition of the property for the development. The loan was secured by the transfer of the property to a guaranty trust, and the payment of the credit is structured with the proceeds from the sale of the housing properties.
Represents and advises different economic agents in merger notifications and investigations in cartel enforcement cases before the Federal Economic Competition Commission (Mexico's antitrust authority).
Advised Financiera FINCA, S.A.P.I. de C.V., SOFOM, ENR, in the disposition of its assets. This transaction involved the implementation of a cross-border acquisition structure, which entailed a complex security interest structure under Mexican law to guarantee the payment of the purchase price by Te Creemos Holding, S.A.P.I. de C.V.
Represented a syndicate of banks in a term loan of US$96.7 million granted to Omniair, S.A. de C.V., to finance the acquisition of shares representing 49% of the capital stock of Grupo Viva Aerobús, S.A. de C.V.
