Biography
Robyn specializes in project development and finance and general bank finance. Her experience includes advising on cross-border finance and corporate transactions in multiple industry sectors, including petrochemicals, infrastructure, renewables and oil & gas with a particular focus on Sub–Saharan Africa. Robyn's expertise and experience is now also expanding into the CIS region as well as into the Middle East.
Experience
Representation of the Ministry of Energy of the Syrian Arab Republic and an international consortium led by Qatar-based Urbacon Concessions Investment, alongside Kalyon G.I.S. Energy, Cengiz Energy, and Power International (USA) on a US$7 billion project which entailed the development and operation of eight new power generation stations in Syria, with a total capacity of 5 GW. This landmark transaction represents a major step in Syria’s efforts to rebuild its energy infrastructure and restore national power capacity after years of underinvestment and disruption.
Representation of lenders in connection with a €1.37 billion refinancing of Sonnedix. The transaction involved refinancing 1,040MW of existing and new solar PV assets across France, Italy, Poland, and Spain.
Representation of the Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and a syndicate of lenders on a US$190 million revolving reserve-based lending financing, with an accordion option of up to US$300 million, made available to VAALCO Energy, Inc., a Texas-based leading Africa-focused oil and gas operating company, secured by its assets in Gabon, Egypt and Côte d'Ivoire.
