Biography
Salma is as an associate in our Project Development & Finance team based in Riyadh and has advised on major projects across a broad range of sectors, including energy, industrial and environmental infrastructure.
Prior to joining the Project Development & Finance team, Salma gained experience in the Firm's Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets practice.
Experience
Representative experience includes:
Ongoing representation of a client in relation to its divestment of certain assets;
Ongoing representation of a client in its development, operation and maintenance of a sulfur processing and exporting facility;
Ongoing representation of a client in relation a number of its joint ventures and subsidiaries;
Representation of Saudi Aramco on a US$11 billion lease and leaseback deal, involving its Jafurah gas processing facilities, with a consortium of international investors led by funds managed by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), part of BlackRock;
Representation of Gulf International Bank and Bank Muscat in connection with SAR750 million facilities provided to Shapoorji;
Representation of Bedaya Fund II L.P. (managed by Shorooq Partners Ltd) on its US$20 million Series A funding round for Intelmatix, assessing key risks, compliance matters, and regulatory considerations;
Representation of SMC Healthcare on its listing on the Main Market of the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul);
Representation of an underwriters' syndicate in ACWA Power Company's SAR 7.125 billion rights issue on the Main Market of the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul);
Representation of various financial institutions on Saudi market access, licensing applications, and regulatory compliance;
Representation of Saudi Aramco in connection with a number of its joint ventures and subsidiaries, including assistance with their incorporation, structuring, and related corporate matters; and
General legal advice to clients in connection with incorporations of joint ventures and other business entities in Saudi Arabia.
