

Biography
Samantha Kokonis is an associate in the Intellectual Property practice group. Her practice focuses on counseling pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences companies in their intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent litigation. Samantha also maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on human rights advocacy and immigration asylum cases.
During law school, Samantha placed first in the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot Competition and received the Dean's Leadership Award. She served as an Associate Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and was heavily involved with Pro Bono Students Canada as a clinic volunteer and program coordinator.
Prior to law school, Samantha worked in health policy at Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. and as a research assistant in the Molecular Genetics department at the University of Toronto.
Samantha holds a Bachelor's degree in Genetics (High Distinction) and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Toronto.
