Overview

Sascha Kouvelis is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group and based in the New York office. Her practice focuses on high-stakes litigation and regulatory disputes for multinational corporations in the technology and social media industries. Specifically, Sascha serves as a core member of a team that handles international civil litigation for Meta Platforms and other leading tech companies around the globe, including cutting-edge matters involving data privacy, intermediary liability, hate speech, defamation, intellectual property, consumer law, unfair competition, and class action claims. She also maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on abortion rights, free speech, and environmental justice.

Prior to joining White & Case, Sascha worked for one of Australia's leading commercial litigation firms, representing some of Australia's largest corporations across a wide range of sectors, such as energy, financial services, consumer goods, and government.

Sascha also served as a law clerk to Australia's highest and ultimate appellate court, the High Court of Australia, before undertaking her Master of Laws at New York University, where she served as a research assistant in international and comparative law.

During law school in Australia, Sascha earned the B. C. Meagher Prize for the highest grade in Constitutional Law and the Dean's Certificate for the highest grade in Conflict of Laws. She also served as an editor of the Federal Law Review and a research assistant in international law.
