Biography

Overview

Sboniso has experience advising on a range of South African and international corporates, banking institutions and other financial institutions on various forms of debt finance – including leveraged finance, acquisition finance, asset finance and preference share funding transactions. He also counsels clients on resource financing transactions for and against mineral resources corporates (both in South Africa and abroad). He has acted for both financial institutions and corporates in cross-border debt restructuring transactions, and has acted for both financial institutions on public financing and regulatory issues.

Prior to joining private practice, Sboniso served as Law Research Clerk to Justice Wallis of the Supreme Court of Appeal and as Law Clerk to Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng at the Constitutional Court.
