Ms. Hartline, a corporate and finance lawyer, has more than 20 years' practice experience, with the majority of her time spent in Asia in the areas of private equity, private investment funds, corporate and project finance work. She has set up private equity-style funds of various types, including (traditional, distressed debt, real estate, credit and secondary opportunity funds), hybrid funds, hedge funds and fund of funds for various fund sponsors in Asia. Investors in such funds have included US tax exempt, US state pension plan and ERISA investors, as well as various non-US HNW individual, family office, SWF and other institutional investors. She has also acted for a variety of investors from the United States, the Middle East, Europe and Asia investing in private investment funds (infrastructure, buy-out, real estate and fund of funds) focused globally or just on the Asian region and has advised managers of hedge funds and private equity funds on various US and HK regulatory issues, including licensing and registration matters. Ms. Hartline has also acted on numerous investment and finance transactions for various international funds.
