Biography
Simon Volkov is an associate in the Project Development and Finance Practice Group, based in the New York office. Simon has international transactional experience across a breadth of areas, including project finance, infrastructure, and mergers and acquisitions. He advises sponsors, investors and lenders on the acquisition, development and financing of major energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on the infrastructure, renewables and energy sectors. Prior to joining White & Case, he worked as an associate in the Moscow office of an international law firm.
Experience
Representation of LS Power on its entry into a definitive agreement under which Constellation Energy will sell a portfolio of generation assets in PJM for US$5 billion before closing adjustments.
Representation of Atlas SP Partners, L.P. in a secured financing to Nexamp Solar, LLC.
Representation of Calpine Corporation and its subsidiary Pin Oak Creek Energy Center, LLC in connection with the financing by the Public Utility Commission of Texas through the Texas Energy Fund (TEF) of a $278.32 million loan facility for the Freestone Peaker project, a 460 MW natural gas-fired, simple-cycle power generation facility located in Fairfield, Texas.
