Tania Singla
Biography
Overview
Tania Singla is an Associate in the International Arbitration Group in Paris. She advises and represents clients in complex international disputes in a wide range of industries including energy, construction, insurance and financial services. Her practice covers investment treaty and commercial arbitration.
Prior to joining White & Case, Tania gained experience in international arbitration and international law at leading international law firms in Frankfurt, New Delhi, Geneva and Paris. Her legal background combines the common law, civil law and international law perspectives in dispute resolution.
Tania has been actively involved with the FDI Investment Arbitration Moot and the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot for a number of years as coach and arbitrator. She also holds several publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals on issues concerning international arbitration and investment law.

Experience
Representing a Canadian company in UNCITRAL proceedings related to a political risk insurance policy for assets located in a North African State;
Representing an Italian company in SCC proceedings against a Central Asian state authority related to a hydropower project;
Advised a British investor (pre-arbitration) on investment treaty issues and state regulations;
Represented Asian and European clients in ICC proceedings related to a US$ multibillion LNG project in Asia-Pacific;
Represented Grupo Unidos por el Canal S.A. in a dispute with the Panama Canal Authority over the US$5.5 billion Panama Canal expansion project in proceedings before the Dispute Adjudication Board;
Represented a Private Equity fund in a joint venture dispute regarding the valuation of their shares in a South-Asian company;
Represented an Indian company in an ICC arbitration regarding an electricity infrastructure project against an Arab State;
Represented a Indian company in arbitration proceedings regarding a construction project against an Arab State under the UNCITRAL Rules;
Represented a Baltic State in an ICSID investor-State arbitration concerning the performance of an airport construction contract against a Nordic company;*
Represented an Eastern European State in an ICSID investor-State arbitration concerning a mining and infrastructure project.*
