Tanvi Dattani Vaish is an associate in the Firm's International Arbitration and Litigation Groups. She represents and advises private companies and foreign sovereigns in the resolution of international disputes, including before arbitral tribunals constituted under the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Her experience also includes litigation related to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.
Prior to joining White & Case, Tanvi worked as an attorney at one of India's top law firms. She has advised and represented clients in domestic and international commercial arbitrations, complex commercial and corporate litigation, white collar crimes, insolvency disputes and regulatory matters in Indian courts. Tanvi has worked with the Hon. Charles N. Brower as a judicial fellow, assisting him with his international arbitration cases.
Tanvi earned her LL.M from Georgetown University Law Center specializing in international arbitration and dispute resolution. She was also part of the winning team of the Eighth LL.M. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition. Tanvi also earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and graduated with Pro Bono Honors. Tanvi was also a member of the University of Chicago Exoneration Project Clinic, where she worked to fight wrongful convictions and free innocent people.
