Overview

Trevor Currie is a counsel in White & Case's global M&A practice, based in Chicago. Trevor focuses his practice on venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and other complex business transactions.

Trevor has extensive experience with advising privately held emerging and high growth companies, as well as venture capital funds, private equity funds and corporate venture groups that invest in those companies, in connection with equity and debt financings, mergers, acquisitions, divestures, corporate restructurings and general corporate matters.

Representative matters include the representation of:

The venture capital arm of Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT), the world's largest construction-equipment manufacturer, in connection with its equity investments in dozens of strategic targets and the sale of minority equity stakes in various Caterpillar Venture Capital Inc. portfolio companies.

SoftBank Vision Fund II (as lead investor) in Tractable's US$65 million Series E investment round at a pre-money valuation of US$370 million.

Corazon Capital, a Chicago-based venture capital firm, in connection with minority equity investments in numerous early-stage and high-growth companies.

Inversago Pharma, Inc., a clinical stage biotech company with a unique portfolio of peripherally acting CB1 inverse agonists, in its CAD 95 million Series C funding, led by New Enterprise Associates.

NRG Energy, Inc. in connection with its issuance of US$650 million of preferred stock, the proceeds of which were used to partially fund NRG's US$2.6 billion acquisition of Vivint Smart Home, Inc.
