Biography

Victoire Segard is a Senior Associate in the Litigation practice of White & Case in Paris.

Victoire focuses on complex corporate and commercial disputes, advising and representing French and international clients, including listed and non-listed companies, investment funds, financial institutions and strategic investors, across a broad range of sectors.

Victoire has significant experience in disputes related to shareholders conflicts, post-acquisition litigation, contractual and commercial disputes and civil liability of executives. She also regularly advises clients on corporate governance issues and on the negotiation and implementation of exit arrangements for executives.

In addition, she dedicates an important part of her practice to complex litigation arising in restructuring and insolvency contexts.

Before joining White & Case in 2021, Victoire began her career in the corporate/litigation department of a leading international law firm and was also an associate in a French law firm specialised in high-end litigation.

Experience

Her recent representations include:

Assisting Emeis (former ORPEA), a leading France-based group in the care homes sector, in 20 disputes in France, Germany and in the US initiated by creditors or shareholders in the context of the financial restructuring of the company.

Assisting Bourbon group in disputes arising in the context of its financial and capital restructuring.

Assisting Starwood (a subsidiary of the Marriott group) in various ongoing proceedings against Sheraton Roissy (a subsidiary of FIB) regarding the operation of the hotel Sheraton Roissy, which is located inside the airport CDG.

Assisting Pierres Investissement in the context of 25+ proceedings initiated by current or former shareholders.

Assisting Prisa Media in a dispute against NJJ Presse concerning the sale of shares in a company holding the French newspaper Le Monde.

Assisting HSBC in the context of proceedings again GPG.

Assisting IPF Partners in a contentious situation against Mauna Kea, a biotech listed on Euronext Paris.

Assisting T-Rex in a dispute with its former partner in context of an important real estate investment.

Assisting Mrs Cristiana Crociani; her husband, Mr Nicolas Delrieu; and her in-laws, on a dispute against her sister, Mrs Camilla Bourbon des Deux Siciles, over the benefit of two trusts for an amount of circa US$120 million.

Assisting Kresk Developpement in a dispute against the Class Ultim 32/23 regarding the participation of François Gabart and the "Defi SVR-Lazartigue" to the 2022 Route du Rhum.
