Biography

Victor Pierre is an associate in the investment funds group based in London.

Victor advises private equity, real asset and venture capital sponsors on fundraising, managed accounts and the capital-raising process, as well as carried interest structuring, and the wider elements of operating a private funds business.

With broad expertise across fund jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Channel Islands and Cayman Islands, Victor advises sponsors on a wide range of matters in the investment funds sphere including fund formations, fund investments, GP-stake deals and co-investments. Victor also regularly represents major institutional investors and family offices in respect of fund investments, separate managed accounts, anchor fund commitments, and co-investments across a broad range of asset classes.

Prior to joining White & Case in 2022, Victor practiced in the funds group of the Luxembourg office of a major international law firm.

Experience

Recent transactions include advising:

  • The Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the establishment of a national investment fund comprising stakes in 18 Uzbekistani state-owned enterprises, with a combined value of approximately US$1.5 billion.
  • Nestle on their investment into a L Catterton fund.
  • A French secondaries investor as buyer of a portfolio of secondary fund interests.
  • Matter Real Estate on its strategic partnership with Madison International Realty and GCM Grosvenor.
  • Matter Real Estate LLP on the establishment of Luxembourg-domiciled real estate fund.
  • the European Commission, on the establishment of its first direct equity investment fund.*
  • a group of Scandinavian pension funds on the set-up of a €1 billion infrastructure fund strong focus on sustainability.*
