Yutty Ramen

Yutty Ramen is an associate in the International Arbitration Practice Group in Paris. She is both civil law and common law trained.

Yutty has regularly been involved in pro bono work. She is currently assisting international organization REDRESS on matters of sexual exploitation of children by UN peacekeepers.

Yutty is the winner of the 10th edition of the mediation competition organized by the Centre for Mediation and Arbitration of Paris (2018). She has participated in various moot court competitions in the past (in India, South Africa, Birmingham and Mauritius).

Yutty's representative experience includes:

  • Representing two French entities in an ongoing ICC arbitration arising from a buyer credit agreement
  • Assisting a European multinational gas company in two CIETAC arbitrations in relation to disputes arising from a hydrogen and steam supply contract

Prior to joining the International Arbitration Group in 2018, Yutty gained experience in the Commercial Litigation and White Collar/Regulatory Practice Groups of the firm. Her recent experience includes:

  • Assisting a leading French bank faced with civil and criminal charges of commercial malpractice arising from loans indexed on foreign currency before French jurisdictions
  • Assisting a leading financial institution with investigations by multiple authorities including the European Commission, the US Department of Justice and CFTC, in relation to alleged manipulations of interest rate benchmarks
