Global law firm White & Case LLP has been honored with five "Deal of the Year" awards at this year’s Latin Lawyer Awards. The Firm won the following:
- Banking & Finance Deal of the Year – White & Case advised Banobras and FONADIN on a US$6 billion financing to acquire 13 power plants from Iberdrola
- Capital Markets Deal of the Year – White & Case advised the underwriters and placement agents on Brazilian water utility Sabesp’s R$14.8 billion equity offering and privatization
- ESG Finance Deal of the Year – White & Case advised El Salvador on the world’s largest debt-for-nature swap for river conservation
- Regulatory Deal of the Year – White & Case advised Citi on separating its Mexican operations into two and creating a new financial group, Grupo Financiero Citi México
- Restructuring Deal of the Year – White & Case advised Brazilian retail giant Americanas on obtaining chapter 15 approval for its US$8.2 billion restructuring plan
