The Lawyer Global Elite: White & Case’s big bet

The new White & Case Global Private Capital Industry Group, led from New York and London, is the Firm's direct response to the increasing range of legal services required by its transatlantic private capital clients. Firm Chair Heather McDevitt told The Lawyer that the market in which private capital clients operate is "rapidly evolving". The group is led by New York-based partner Oliver Brahmst and London-based partners Emily Brown and Gareth Eagles. Brahmst said: "Our clients have become very successful at transforming themselves into alternative asset managers. It's really been our challenge simply to keep up with them." Eagles described the new group as providing clients with a "wraparound service".
