Global law firm White & Case LLP is continuing to expand its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and Global Private Capital Industry Group with the addition of Oreste Cipolla as a partner in New York.

"Oreste adds exceptional sponsor-side experience in complex, cross-border transactions to our private equity offering," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "We're continuing to build depth in key areas of client demand, and Oreste's perspective at the intersection of investments, funds and secondaries will enable us to expand deal flow and connect sponsors with our cross-practice finance and regulatory capabilities."

Oreste advises private equity and venture capital sponsors as well as their portfolio companies and other strategic, multinational businesses on domestic and cross-border transactions, including leveraged buyouts, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, growth investments and other structured capital financings. He also advises on buy-side and sell-side secondaries and innovative co-investment strategies. He joins White & Case from Goodwin Procter, where he was co-leader of its Secondaries Practice.

"Private capital is evolving and sponsors are looking beyond traditional buyout paths to manage risk and liquidity," said the Firm's Global Co-Head of Private Capital Oliver Brahmst. "Oreste's experience advising on sophisticated secondary transactions and continuation structures will elevate how we lead private equity clients amid the complexity of the current deal landscape."

White & Case's M&A Practice is continuing to build significant strength with more than 25 lateral partners joining globally over the past year. Recent US-based additions include partners Andrea Basham, Jennifer Cheng, Dario de Martino, Stephen Fraidin, Airi Hammalov, Sašo Kraner and Paul Tiger (all in New York); Ian Goldberg, Alex Miron, Gabriel Salinas and Josh Teahen (all in Houston); Jalpit Amin (Chicago); Susan Nieto (Washington, DC); and Nicole Daley (Boston).
