Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice, Global Energy Industry Group and Sustainability & Responsible Business Practice with the addition of Peter Trimarchi as a partner in New York.
"Peter's addition supports the continued growth of our preeminent energy capabilities," said White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt. "We also have significant demand for environmental regulatory advice across industries to support our clients in key transactions, and Peter brings strong experience to advise on such matters."
Trimarchi advises on all aspects of environmental law, including compliance with applicable regulatory requirements in M&A and corporate transactions and the financing and development of renewable energy projects. His experience spans advising on environmental and land use permits for energy and infrastructure projects, assisting lenders with detailed environmental and permitting advice and addressing environmental risks, including ESG, climate change and PFAS. He also provides representation in environmental litigation and enforcement proceedings.
"White & Case is known for advising on the largest, most complex deals in the energy sector and forward-thinking environmental risk assessment is an important element of these matters," said Taylor Pullins, Co-Head of the Firm's Sustainability & Responsible Business Practice. "Peter's arrival strengthens our US team, and further supports our ability to provide sophisticated environmental expertise in M&A and other strategic transactions."
Trimarchi re-joins White & Case from another law firm, where he was a partner. He previously was an associate in White & Case's New York office from 2001 to 2007.
White & Case's Global Energy Industry Group has continued to expand since the start of 2025, with the addition of Project Development and Finance partners John Donaleski in New York and Patrick Johnson in Houston.
