Global law firm White & Case LLP is continuing to expand its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice with the addition of Jennifer Cheng as a partner in New York.
"White & Case is actively investing in high-growth areas, including our M&A platform in the US," said the Firm's Chair Heather McDevitt. "With Jennifer's appointment, we scale our talent bench and strengthen our ability to lead clients through their most strategic and complex transactions."
Cheng advises Fortune 500, international and middle-market companies on a wide range of corporate transactions, including extensive experience in public and private mergers, take-privates, asset and stock acquisitions and divestitures, reverse mergers, joint ventures and private equity investments across a variety of industries. She joins White & Case from Reed Smith, where she was the Chair of its Global M&A Practice.
"Jennifer is an outstanding dealmaker with strong commercial instincts," said White & Case Co-Head of Global M&A Kimberly Petillo-Décossard. “Her proven ability to lead complex matters and build long-term client relationships is a strong fit for our team, and supports our M&A platform’s continued growth momentum."
White & Case's M&A Practice is building significant strength with more than 25 lateral partners joining globally over the past year. Recent US-based additions include partners Paul Tiger, Airi Hammalov and Stephen Fraidin in New York; Gabriel Salinas, Josh Teahen, Ian Goldberg and Alex Miron in Houston; and Nicole Daley in Boston.
