Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Pure Data Centres Group, the designer, developer, and operator of hyperscale cloud and AI data centres, on securing a senior secured financing from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).

The financing will support the development of a 78 MW, fully leased, six-acre campus in Westpoort, Amsterdam and the continued expansion of the Pure DC campus in Ballycoolin, Dublin.

White & Case also advised Pure Data Centres Group on the lease negotiations for the Amsterdam site. This strategic collaboration underscores the Firm’s ongoing role in supporting Pure Data Centres Group’s expansion within Europe’s leading technology hubs.

The Amsterdam development will establish one of Europe’s largest standalone hyperscale data center campuses, spanning six acres and featuring state-of-the-art facilities, including three 26 MW towers supported by a fully operational private substation. Fully leased to a leading global technology provider, this transformative project is expected to help address growing infrastructure demands across the region. In addition to enhancing connectivity, the campus will generate significant economic impact, creating over 1,000 construction jobs and around 80 skilled permanent positions once operational. The Amsterdam project will further strengthen Europe’s digital infrastructure, providing critical hyperscale capacity in one of the region's most connected markets.

Pure Data Centres Group’s Dublin campus is strategically designed for scalability, positioning it as a critical hub for hyperscale data operations in Europe. The campus incorporates advanced energy solutions such as onsite natural gas power generation, reflecting Pure’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in meeting the growing demands of global businesses.

The White & Case team in London which advised on the transaction was led by partner Lisa Seifman, with support from partner James Johnson and associates Kady Cochrane, Victoria Delacey and Joseph Kania.
