Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Trabajos Marítimos S.A. (Tramarsa) and Terminal Internacional del Sur S.A. (Tisur), as borrowers, on their entry into a US$250 million loan agreement with the Inter-American Investment Corporation and Banco de Crédito del Perú, as lenders.
The proceeds of the loans will be used for the prepayment and discharge of existing indebtedness and to fund Tisur's capital expenditures.
Tisur's Matarani port is the third-largest port in Peru and is the principal port in the South of the country.
The White & Case team was led by Project Development and Finance partner Carlos Viana, and included counsel Ana Arias; and Capital Markets associate Christie Garcia (all in Miami). Latin America Fellow Eduardo Damian Vega (New York) also advised on the matter.
