Biography
Aïssatou Beye is an associate in White & Case's Project Development and Finance group in Paris.
Aïssatou advises lenders and sponsors on the contractual structuring and financing of projects relating to infrastructure, the energy sector and the mining industry.
Prior to joining White & Case, Aïssatou acquired experience at Linklaters LLP.
Experience
Recent experiences before joining White & Case include:
- Advising Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire and Société Générale Sénégal on the financing for the Ministry of Finance of Senegal of the Hann-Fann collector rehabilitation market in Dakar, Senegal.
- Advising on the creation of special economic zones with the aim of organizing, structuring and developing the livestock sector and the textile industry in several countries in Africa.
- Advising Rio Tinto-Simfer on the development of the US$15 billion project, the world's largest undeveloped iron ore deposit, including the development of a 670 km rail corridor and port infrastructure.
- Advising Proparco, EAAIF and IFC as senior and mezzanine lenders on portfolio financing for the construction and expansion of Tier III certified data centres in several Sub-Saharan African countries including Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Angola, Tanzania and Uganda, including an expansion facility to finance similar projects in other Sub-Saharan African countries.
- Advising lenders in connection with the financing of the development and construction of a 300MW tri-fuel combined cycle power plant in Cap des Biches, Senegal.
- Advising lenders on the syndication of an €812 million project financing for the distribution of petroleum products and the storage of bulk liquids.
- Advising lenders on the financing of a hydroelectric power plant project aimed at significantly increasing electricity production in Burundi.
- Advising Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire and Société Générale Sénégal on the financing of the acquisition by KASADA Hospitality Fund LP, through onshore subsidiaries, of 100% of the shares and receivables held by AccorInvest Group SA in a portfolio of Pullman, Novotel and Ibis hotels in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal.
- Advising the European Investment Bank on the financing of the iBiopsy imaging platform project, a technology using artificial intelligence to detect certain chronic diseases, particularly cancers, at an early stage, led by Median Technologies S.A. in France.
- Advising the European Investment Bank on the financing for the development and commercialisation of new medical products in France by Germitec S.A..
- Advising Helexia, a leading energy transition and energy efficiency services provider, on the "non-recourse" financing of a portfolio comprising 290 projects located in France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Hungary.
- Advising Amundi Transition Energétique on the financing for the acquisition of a portfolio of 12 land-based assets from EDP Renewables.
- Advising Brookfield, owner of Data4 Group, on the €3.3 billion financing for the restructuring of their data centre activities.
- Advising the lenders on the financing of the Provence Grand Large floating wind farm pilot project.
- Advising Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire on the financing of the construction of an administrative real estate park in Lomé, Togo.
- Advising Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire on the refinancing of Senegal's sovereign debt.
- Advising Commerzbank on the refinancing of a photovoltaic power plant project in France.
- Acted as counsel to the lenders in connection with the financing of a railway project in France.
- Advising BPI and Arkéa Banque on the financing of a solar power plant project in France led by Meridiam and Dalkia through Swiss Krono France S.A..
