Biography
Akshita is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisition practice of White & Case's London office. She advises clients on a broad range of commercial transactions, including private acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, general corporate advisory matters and strategic cross border mandates.
Dual qualified in India and England & Wales, Akshita supports clients on India-related inbound and outbound matters, as well as on multi-jurisdictional transactions with complex regulatory and structuring considerations.
In 2024, Akshita completed a four-month client secondment at a large UK bank.

Advised AviLease on its US$3.6 billion acquisition of Standard Chartered Bank's global aviation-leasing business, Pembroke Capital—named "M&A Deal of the Year 2023" by Airline Economics.*
Advised Brookfield Asset Management on its long-term strategic partnership with Barclays Bank plc to transform the bank's payment-acceptance business.*
Advised Banco Santander S.A. on its £2.65 billion acquisition of TSB Banking Group plc from Banco Sabadell S.A.*
Advised Saudi Aramco on its acquisition of a 10 per cent equity interest in HORSE Powertrain Limited—the global powertrain-solutions company established by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited and Renault Group.*
Advised Sanlam Emerging Markets on a strategic series of equity acquisitions in several principal operating subsidiaries of India's Shriram Group.*
