Dr. Alan S. Teran is a technical advisor in the Global Intellectual Property Practice Group. Alan focuses on representing clients in the prosecution and procurement of utility patents in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions. Alan has experience working with clients in the fields of energy storage, media applications, medical devices, and semiconductors.
Alan received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan, after receiving his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Florida. Alan's graduate work focused on intermediate band solar cells and indoor energy harvesting using photovoltaics.
Prior to joining White & Case, Alan worked as a technical advisor for an international law firm in Boston.
