Biography

Overview

Alexander is an associate in the Firm's Capital Markets group in Frankfurt. He practices in the areas of structured finance, debt capital markets and bank regulatory laws. 

He represents a wide range of clients that include credit institutions, multinational corporates, investment banks, finance companies, financial technology (fintech) companies, institutional investors and public institutions on complex financings and optimization of regulatory capital ratios. He has particularly extensive knowledge of structured finance and securitisation transactions for funding and capital relief purposes as well as risk sharing solutions. Furthermore, he advises on NPL transactions such as the acquisition, sale and securitization of NPL-portfolios. 

In addition, he also advises national and international clients on regulatory laws and implications of the Basel III/IV and PSD2 regimes on credit institutions, financial institutions and corporates.

Alexander worked in the Firm’s Capital Markets group with a focus on structured finance and bank regulatory law as a trainee in the Frankfurt and London office of White & Case for two years prior to taking the German bar

Santander Consumer Bank AG
Advised Santander Consumer Bank AG on a €3.8 billion ABS securitisation transaction of consumer and commercial auto loans which are rated by Moody's and DBRS Ratings.

Intrum AB 
Advised Intrum AB on the €328 million acquisition and hive-down of the Recovery Banking Unit (RBU) of Greece’s largest bank, Piraeus Bank and the securitisation of a € 28 billion NPL portfolio, which will be serviced by the RBU after completion of the acquisition.
