Ali's experience is in advising clients on public and private mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and equity capital markets transactions, cross-border joint ventures and general corporate advisory work. Ali has worked on a wide variety of international corporate transactions across the Middle East, Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and South America. Ali is also fluent in written and spoken Arabic.

Ali is ranked as an "up and coming" lawyer and has been praised by clients as being "creative in terms of coming up with solutions" and "focused on getting the job done" (Chambers Global, 2018).

Prior to joining White & Case in 2014, Ali worked at a magic circle law firm.

Represented ADES International Holding on its IPO on the London Stock Exchange. This was the first DIFC company to carry out a listing solely on the London Stock Exchange and it was awarded Equity Deal of the Year in the 2017 IFLR awards.

Represented Emirates NBD Capital Limited and EFG-Hermes UAE Limited on the initial public offering of shares of ENBD REIT (CEIC) Limited, a Shari'a compliant REIT, and its listing on Nasdaq Dubai.

Represented United Al Saqer Group LLC on their subscription for US$70m of redeemable exchangeable preference shares in Hygienic Holding Group Ltd.

Represented NMC Health on its US$207m acquisition of Cosmesurge from Emirates Hospitals Group.

Represented a large international private equity fund on the acquisition of a majority interest in a UAE-based school group.

Represented a UAE-based technology services and consulting company on its pre-IPO re-organisation, private placement.

Represented Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) in connection with the implementation of Federal Decree by Law No. 3 and the subsequent changes to its constitutional documents and ownership structure to permit foreign ownership.

Represented the joint lead managers in connection with the IPO of Amanat on the Dubai Financial Market.

Represented a GCC sovereign wealth fund on an international joint venture in the financial services sector.

Represented the joint global coordinators on the IPO of Emaar Misr.

Represented Investment Corporation of Dubai, the principal investment arm of the government of Dubai, in respect of its acquisition of a number of key hotel and other assets.

Represented Labregah Real Estate Company and Barwa Real Estate on the acquisition of US$5.3 billion of assets comprising major real estate projects, including Barwa City and Barwa Commercial Avenue, and a significant stake in Barwa Bank.
