Alice is an associate in the White & Case Construction and Engineering Group, in London. She advises employers and contractors on dispute resolution and is experienced in litigation, arbitration and alternative methods of dispute resolution such as mediation.
Currently acting in an ICC arbitration representing a state owned developer in its dispute with its contractor arising out of the construction of primary infrastructure works for the development of a new city in the Middle East. The arbitration involves multiple variation and delay claims and a counter-claim. The works in dispute include road and highway systems, power sub-stations and a network of utilities tunnels providing water, waste disposal (including a pneumatic waste system), power, telecommunications and air-conditioning.
Assisting with an arbitration of a major transport project in the Middle East involving numerous works packages. There are numerous disputed variations currently being defended.
Assisted in a major transport project dispute in Africa, referred to an ICC arbitration concerning the termination of the FIDIC contract by the Employer for defective and delayed works by the contractor.
Represented a major Australian based construction and engineering company in a document intensive arbitration concerning the company's claim against the Employer Iron Ore mine for breach of contract and misleading and deceptive conduct.
Represented a major Australian based construction and engineering company in relation to a distressed project concerning a major upgrade project to the Sydney Opera House.
