Biography

Overview

Mr. Peralta's practice covers international arbitration and litigation with a particular focus on Latin America. He assists with advising corporate and sovereign clients in commercial and investment disputes and related negotiations. Mr. Peralta is also active in pro bono activities involving representation of asylum applicants in U.S. immigration proceedings.

Mr. Peralta worked at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) of the World Bank and served as an articles editor of the American University Law Review. He has additional experience with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, and the Chambers of the Honorable Judge Reyna at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

A native of the U.S. and Nicaragua, Mr. Peralta is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Alvaro is currently on secondment to the Paris office of White & Case.
