Amanda advises on the development, financing and acquisition of major energy and infrastructure projects. She has particular experience in project and acquisition finance in the oil and gas, power and infrastructure sectors.
Having worked in top-tier firms in Australia, Europe and the Middle East, including two years spent in the Firm's London office, Amanda has represented project sponsors, lenders and borrowers on complex acquisition and project financings throughout the world.
Experience
Advised the successful Lonsdale consortium on its acquisition of the Port of Melbourne in Victoria for A$9.7 billion.
Advised the lenders on the refinancing of the 850MW Millmerran Power Station in Australia.
Advised Nord Stream AG on the financing of Phase I of the US$9 billion Nord Stream sub-sea gas pipeline connecting the Russian and European gas grids (including financing from commercial banks, Euler Hermes, UFK and SACE). Awarded "Oil & Gas Deal of the Year 2010" by Infrastructure Law Journal and "European Gas Deal of the Year 2009" by Project Finance Magazine. White & Case awarded "Infrastructure/Energy Team of the Year" at The Lawyer Awards 2011 for its work on this project.
Advised the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) and the government of Abu Dhabi on Abu Dhabi's eighth IWPP project involving development at the Shuweihat complex of a power generation and seawater desalination plant and associated facilities.
Advised EIB, IFC, KfW, Agence Française De Développement and the African Development Bank on the financing of West Indian Ocean Cable Company Ltd as a consortium member investing in the construction and implementation of an optical fibre submarine cable on the Eastern sea board of Africa.
Advised Saudi International Petrochemical Company as the main sponsor in relation to a US$1.2 billion integrated petrochemical facility (carbon monoxide, acetic acid and vinyl acetate monomer plants and offsite facilities) in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Advised Saudi International Petrochemical Company as the main sponsor on the Islamic refinancing of its methanol plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Advised the joint lead arrangers on the financing of multiple power facilities and an LNG storage facility in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Advised Pacific Hydro on the acquisition of two hydro-electric power plants in Chile, the first of the company's assets in South America.
Advised the joint lead arrangers on the US$287.5 million financing of a liquid anhydrous ammonia plant on the Burrup Peninsula, Western Australia.
Advised the joint club arrangers on the A$338 million financing of the SEA Gas pipeline from Victoria to South Australia.
Advised the joint lead arrangers on the A$1.186 billion refinancing of the Hazelwood Power Plant in Victoria, Australia.
