Amara is an associate in White & Case's commercial litigation group, where she represents and advises private companies and foreign sovereigns in the resolution of high-stakes commercial and regulatory disputes. She has substantial experience representing technology companies in litigation and regulatory investigations concerning privacy and data protection, consumer protection, intermediary liability, hate speech, and defamation.
She also regularly advises technology companies on compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations concerning these same issues, and provides legal advice to product management, marketing, sales, and communications teams from the early stages of product development through launch. Amara also has extensive experience drafting terms of service, privacy policies, and other disclosures.
In addition, Amara is actively involved in pro bono matters at the firm.
