Angela Scicluna
Biography
Overview
Angela has an international practice, with a focus on technology, internet and social media law. Angela's experience includes defending multinational corporations in complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations. Her representations frequently involve disputes regarding intermediary liability, unfair competition, contractual obligations, defamation and fundamental rights. Angela also advises on regulatory, legislative, product, and related policy issues that impact technology and social media companies.
Within the United States, Angela has represented global pharmaceutical companies in intellectual property litigations and antitrust class actions.
Angela also maintains an active pro bono practice. Notably, Angela was part of the legal team which represented the children of Flint, Michigan in a federal class action that sought to secure special education support for those impacted by the lead crisis. The team secured a groundbreaking settlement to help remedy the cumulative educational deficit caused by the crisis.
Angela earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was Editor-In-Chief of the Columbia Journal of European Law. She also holds an LLB from University College London.
