Anne Petitjean is a Counsel in the Paris Real Estate Group. Prior to joining White & Case, she worked in a leading French law firm concentrating on real estate law where she mainly focused on town planning and urban development law. She was involved in construction transactions (statutory and contractual set-up operations of urban development, management and drafting documents relating to town planning issues, assistance in connection with the instruction and audit of building permits, follow-up of expropriation and preemption procedures).
Ms. Petitjean focuses on the implementation and development of shopping mall projects, and the construction of various types of real estate assets (industrial sites, offices, hotels and residential properties, public facilities). She also advises investors (French or foreign investment funds or listed real estate companies) and French institutions in relation to acquisitions and transfers of real estate portfolios.
She is also experienced in transactions relating to public domain occupation, where she advised on urban development transactions in the public maritime domain, which consisted of the realization of real estate works in the public domain, in particular in the autonomous ports of Marseille and Le Havre.
She has recently been involved in renewable energy projects (wind farms and solar) and is experienced in key stages of such projects (grid access; power purchase agreements; real estate including leases; purchase and easements; town planning; and construction issues).
Anne was part of the team who advised AEW Europe on the acquisition of the Primavera portfolio from Grosvenor, of two shopping centres located in Marseille and Châlons-en-Champagne for a total value of € 188 million.
Anne represented SARIHV (subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts) in the sale of the site previously used for the Orange Centre National d'Etude des Télécommunications (CNET) in Issy-les-Moulineaux (100,000 sqm), to Altarea Cogedim, the developer/investor for the "Issy Coeur de Ville" city center project.
Anne advised the Ritz Hotel on the renovation of the hotel located at Place Vendôme. This included development matters, such as the issuance of required consent (building permits and public domain occupancy on Place Vendôme), the negotiation and drafting of construction agreements with Bouygues, and the works expertise ("référé préventif").
Anne represented an investor from the Middle East on their acquisition of a five-star hotel in Paris.
Anne advised Katara Hospitality, the Qatar-based global owner, developer and operator of hotels, on the acquisition of luxury Intercontinental properties in Europe, including the acquisition of the Carlton in Cannes.
Anne advised Starwood (Groupe du Louvre) on the reorganisation of its luxury hotel division.
Anne provided counsel to Klépierre, a leading shopping center property company in Europe, on town planning issues, and on its sale of a portfolio of 127 retail galleries to a consortium led by Carrefour and capitalized by institutional investors at €2 billion.
Anne advised HSH Nordbank on the project financing of two acquisitions, on the construction and operation of wind farms, one from Nordex, and one from H2AIR, both acquired by ESPF Nr. 3 Austria Beteiligungs Gmbh.
Advising Louvre Hotel Group, subsidiary of Société du Louvre, on the sale of 32 hotels Campanile to Predica and Foncière des Murs (Sale & lease back).
