Ash Ilkhani is a member of the New York office's funds and investment management practice and is a partner in the Firm's Capital Markets Group.
His practice focuses on representing sponsors and managers of private funds and joint ventures as well as institutional investors in such products. Ash regularly advises US, Latin American and other international sponsors in connection with (i) structuring, formation, placement and ongoing operations of a broad range of private equity funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, hedge funds and joint ventures, (ii) carried interest arrangements and other compensation structures, (iii) secondary transactions involving private investment funds and (iv) dispositions of interests in asset management firms, as well as management team spin-outs and the establishment of new asset management firms.
Ash also regularly advises US, Latin American, Middle Eastern and other institutional investors in connection with their alternative asset investment programs, including negotiating investments in all classes of private investment funds, separately managed accounts and joint ventures.
Prior to joining White & Case in April 2007, Ash was an associate at a boutique law firm in New York concentrating on the structuring, formation and regulatory compliance of both US and international hedge funds.
