Biography

Overview

Ben is an associate in the London office's Debt Finance group. His experience includes advising banks, alternative lenders, private equity investors and corporates in relation to bank and corporate finance transactions.

Ben also has experience in restructuring, corporate insolvency and distressed investment work.

In 2022, he was seconded to the private credit group of a major international sovereign wealth fund.  

Ben trained with the Firm. As a trainee, he went on a client secondment to a leading credit-oriented alternative asset manager as well as the Firm's Frankfurt office.

Experience

Ben has recently worked with colleagues to provide advice to: 

  • BlackRock and HPS on the recurring revenue financing supporting the acquisition of Adcubum AG, a leading software manufacturer, and tech11 GmbH, a digital insurance solutions provider by TA Associates.
  • Representation of Triton on its £1.2 billion recommended takeover offer for Clinigen Group plc and the £775 million financing of the same.
  • ADVANZ PHARMA in relation to its US$846 million sale to Nordic Capital and several other financing matters including respect of the Company's acquisition of Correvio Pharma Corp.;
  • a syndicate of bank lenders in relation to the refinancing of The Very Group Limited;
  • Ares Management Limited, providing finance in relation to Nordic Capital's acquisition of Sortera;
  • a syndicate of bank lenders providing finance in relation to IK Investment Partner's acquisition of Kersia;
  • Castik Capital in relation to the financing of its acquisition of Customs Support Group and ongoing financing matters;
  • Swissport in relation to its restructuring and recapitalisation (with specific focus on its revolving credit facility and associated financing matters);
  • the African mobile technology company, Africell, in relation to its reorganisation and other financing matters;
  • a syndicate of bank lenders, providing finance in relation to the £820m acquisition of Alexander Mann Solutions.
