Bruna is an associate in the Project Development and Finance Group in our London office. Bruna qualified in 2010 in Brazil and joined the Firm in 2015.

Bruna has experience in both contentious and non-contentious practices, working with the Dispute Resolution department prior to joining the Project Development and Finance team. Bruna has spent six months on secondment working with the Vale's in house legal team in Maputo, Mozambique.

Bruna has experience in acting for both sponsors and lenders in the infrastructure, mining, oil and gas and power sectors in Africa.

Representation of Vale and Mitsui & Co Ltd. on the development and US$2.73 billion financing of the landmark Nacala Project, which includes (i) the construction of a new 201 km long rail line to connect Moatize mine in Tete to the existing railway line in Malawi at Nkaya Junction (ii) the rehabilitation of the existing line in the Malawi rail network and in Mozambique between Nkaya and Monapo, for an approximate length of 682km; (iii) the construction of a new branch line of 29km length which will connect the existing railway line and the port; and (iv) the construction of a new coal port terminal in Nacala-à-VelhaRepresentation of Trans Niger Oil & Gas Limited (TNOG) in connection with the acquisition financing for the purchase of assets from Shell.

Representation of the mandated lead arrangers on a multi-million senior secured & borrowing base facility agreement for the purposes of financing & the acquisition of assets located in Brazil by Trident Energy – the first ever RBL in Brazil.

Representation of Energean on the US$650 million acquisition bridge financing (and take-out financing) in relation to Edison's upstream O&G assets, including its Egyptian, Algerian, Italian and Greek assets.

Representation of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan in connection with a pilot 240 MW wind and 200 MW PV project in Azerbaijan, including standardised power purchase and state support documentation.

Representation of the financiers on a landmark US$20 billion project financing of Mozambique's first onshore LNG development, Mozambique LNG, one of the largest ever foreign direct investments into Africa.

Representation of the lenders to Kenmare Resources plc on a hybrid refinancing in relation to the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine in northern Mozambique. & It is an innovative deal that has allowed a single asset African mining company to transition from a project financing structure to more corporate/leverage style arrangements.
